José Luis González (b. 1980, Monterrey, Mexico) is an award-winning cartoonist, an accomplished playwright and screenwriter, and a not-too-shabby filmmaker.

Based out of Austin, he is currently working on his first graphic novel "The History of Magic." On most days, however, you'll find him driving around in a 1988 Volvo singing "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" to himself.
